This summer went by so, so fast. It really seems like we were just hitting our stride. I loved having both kids home all day. We were on a great schedule and having so much fun. They are playing together so well. I am not super excited Luke going back to preschool but I know he will love it so that makes it a little easier. We will keep working on some things at home that we had started (like writing the letters of the alphabet) but I know he enjoys the social aspect of school so much. He was very ready to go on his first day. No looking back. It is bittersweet to see him growing up. It is difficult to wish that he wasn’t growing up when he gets sweeter and sweeter every day. He is such a blessing.
It will be great to have more one-on-one time with Emilia. We are really working on correcting her very strong-willed spirit. It is a learning experience for all of us. Here are some photos of Luke’s first day. As I was taking pics of him, Emmie started to have a fit and was trying to grab my camera. I quickly realized that it was not my camera she was after, but she wanted me to take a picture of her!! When I started taking pictures of her, she quickly dried those tears and brought out that beaming smile. Such a little stinker! She, too, is a blessing and is God is certainly using her to shape my character!
